Functional Neurology
The term functional neurology is used to describe the fact that the brain is capable of growing, changing and healing and that proper activation can direct this growth. Neurological symptoms often are the result of an imbalance in the right and left hemispheres of the brain. Functional neurologist are trained to locate which side of the brain (and where within that side) has a dysfunction. After the problem is localized treatment can be applied that is designed to allow that area of the brain to recover. Success has been seen with a variety of disorders such as:
Balance Issues
Dizziness/Vertigo
Autism and Aspergers
Dystonia
Post Stroke Recovery
Movement Disorders and Tremors
and many others.
